Corsham is a historic Wiltshire town steeped in history and culture with ties to the wool industry and beautiful period Listed buildings along the High Street. There is also the magnificent Corsham Court which is surrounded by excellent dog walking fields and a lake. In the centre, which is half a mile away, there is a wide choice of excellent independent shops and restaurants to enjoy. There are stacks of amenities and sports facilities with a cricket club that is a hive of activity in the summer and there is a football and a rugby club alongside many other clubs and societies. Corsham is well known as a family area with very good primary and secondary schools. There is a leisure centre with swimming pool.
Commuters enjoy easy access to the M4 and it is well placed for Bath and Swindon. Train users will go to Chippenham to hop on the London train.
Approached along Prospect, the driveway to the house is tucked nicely behind hedges with gravelled parking for several vehicles. This pretty house has been well looked after and has bay windows and a lovely entrance. The hallway is a good space with room to hang coats and has a door to the side garden and a useful downstairs WC. The sitting room is well finished with lovely carpentry to the alcoves and plenty of light. There is a wood burner in the hearth. The rear of the property is a great social space with the kitchen opening up to the dining space and doors leading out to the terrace. There is plenty of storage and room for a good sized table. Velux skylights give lots of light. Having a kitchen overlooking a level garden is very appealing. The house has had a double rear storey extension. The whole house has been carefully thought out and well decorated with Farrow and Ball.
On the first floor the landing is roomy. At the front there is a master suite with built in wardrobes and a plush ensuite shower room. There are two further excellent bedrooms with plenty of room for children and guests with a family bathroom in superb condition. The house has views from both the front and from the rear to the hills.
The garden is a winner with a superb level terrace and lawn making a beautiful space. There is a large area outside the french doors with room for a big outside table which then leads to a garden path with mature borders, nice fencing and level lawn. This leads to a area for a swing or slide with play bark and then to the workshop and shed. These are great spaces at the bottom of the garden for working from home or workshop. At the back of the house there is even an outside sink and to the side of the house is plenty more space for bike storage with a secure gate leading back to the front.
